Introduction PB5X

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Website. This mean we probably had a QSO, you have heard me on some frequency, or most likely you have found me on the internet. So before going into further detail, please let me introduce my self as my name is Roberto also known as “Bob” (Broken Old Bottle) and I live in the city of Breda what is located approximately 100km(60 miles) south of the capital Amsterdam and 16km(10 miles) of the border of Belgium. One of my passions within this beautifull hobby is long distance DX from 10 to 20 mtr and sometimes even on 40 mtr. On occasion you can catch me on one of the local VHF/UHF repeaters in my country. Further more I am a member of different radio orientated clubs like the Low Land DX Team LLDXT, Dutch radio society VERON, American Radio Relay League ARRL, European DX foundation EUDXF (#908) and also a lifetime member of the radio society in Thailand R.A.S.T. and QRZ.com (#150) !!

During the last decade I have been fortunate to meet and communicate with all kind of HAM friends around the world. In my daily profession working for a global company I also have the pleasure of meeting different people from different cultures. So what is really intresting, despite culture, political differences and/or religion when it comes to HAM Radio, we all are equal and have the same understanding for our beautifull hobby.

In particular, I want to thank ALL radio amateurs and their families who with their efforts and resources make it possible for us as DXer to get a new DXCC or another rare contact in our log.
Once again thank you for visiting my Website and enjoy browsing this page.
